Delivery service: Ribs arrived as hot as if they had just been taken from the grill - perfect, the taste is always top.

Very disappointing. Was there in summer 2020. It is understandable that you have to wait a long time for your meal when a large number of guests visit the restaurant, but it is NOT understandable if several guests who have come AFTER US receive their meals before us. In total we waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for our order. I then wanted to take my food home and wanted to order an extra sauce. The waiter only brought this to me after the 3rd reminder. I understand when there is a lot going on and you are stressed, but that shouldn't happen. And if so, they might have come here and suggested that this should no longer be paid.

Once long time ago it was small and cozy place with delicious beer and best ribs in Vienna, plausible prices. Now the place is a dinning saloon with high prices. Bier and Ribs are still very good.. here I can't argue.

Traditional Viennese restaurant at the Alte Donau riverbank with stunning views. The place is mainly famous for the ribs with huge portion. In my opinion it is more spectacular than special. Presentation of the other foods are simple, no table sheets on the tables outside. Plenty of waiters to serve you, they are friendly, you get a good value for your money. Usually it is busy so booking is highly recommended. Parking is possible in the nearby small streets.

Lovely traditional food and perfect location on the river!

In my opinion this used to have tasty food. The spare ribs use to be delicious. This place has become such a mass production I'm amazed people rate this great. My family had spare ribs and I had a tasteless fish. Nice view.

The view is beautiful, unfortunately everything else is only geared towards mass processing. The rooms look like a canteen and on the terrace the tables are lined up without ambience. The burger costs 15.90 euros and is absolutely not worth the price. Dry meat without sauce (or it was so little in there that I couldn't find it), frozen fries with ketchup. This is not a place where we go a second time.

Location is great, especially if you can sit next to the old Danube. Food is overpriced. Staff disappears for most of the time and doesn’t show up very often. EUR 25.- for bad ribs. Burger was mediocre. They have no idea how to cash in the Restaurant Gutschein.

Finally after what felt like centuries back in the beach café! Nice atmosphere after the renovation. Fast service. As usual, the top quality ribs, the price surprisingly high and clearly excessive. Complete crash in the quality of the "white splash". Taste of fresh aluminum tank, so it can only be less wine. That is not how it works.

The ambience is great, but the spare ribs (EUR 25.90) ​​are by far not the best in Austria. The menu should delete this passage. Conclusion: far overpriced Spare ribs, starters were served with main courses at the same time. Waiters were friendly. Wouldn't recommend a visit to the beach cafe to my friends. Price-performance ratio not given.

I usually only write reviews when I think something is really good ... Or when I really want to advise against something. The food is overpriced, the quality is really nothing special and rather mass-produced. The waiters stressed and unfriendly, hectic and not really accommodating. The oh-so-great ribs are tough and take a lot more time. For 6 wings, having to plate 15 € WITHOUT (!) A side dish, I would understand if they were really well prepared and organic chicken. But they weren't anything special either. Apart from the beer, Grieskirchner G'mischtes and Budweiser, both well tapped and at Swiss house level, there was really nothing good to report. P / L level is miserable, service so-so, I get better food at home in the smoker. And from the atmosphere, the location on the water of the old Danube, you don't get much notice of the tightly packed tables. The air stands under the open umbrellas that cover the cloudless sky. In view of the smoking table next door, where 4 gentlemen were chatting with relish before, during and after the meal, without possibly paying attention to the neighbors sitting right next to them, who the smoke drifted directly into the food, we wanted to go to one of the evade other tables that were still free .... table changing was also not possible. Total flop, for the money you get really really good food in Vienna elsewhere.

Well ... Staff consistently make an unmotivated impression. You have to draw attention to yourself if you want to order something. Food is OK, but rather mediocre for this price level. Although the best summer weather, the complete terrace (on the water) was closed for lunch; completely incomprehensible! Empty tables are cleared at some point, but unfortunately not cleaned. It's a shame about this restaurant, which I would like to visit more often due to its beautiful location ... It won't work that way.

The location of the beach cafe directly on the old Danube is of course perfect. However, the service could be much friendlier. The prices are pretty high. Food is quite good, but there is still room for improvement in the price range. Okay for a quick after work beer

Best spare ribs in Vienna. Nice cosy restaurant.

Unfortunately not recommended. Outlook - 👍 Service - poor. To be ignored for 40 minutes after consuming the drinks is no glory. Waiting time to eat an impressive 1h 40min. Spare ribs - only served lukewarm, little Erdäpfl with them, average taste, but extremely overpriced (25.9 €) and certainly not the best spare ribs in Vienna. "Soda water with freshly squeezed lemon juice" for a proud € 4.40 turns out to be a concentrate. When asked, the waiter has to admit that they don't have fresh lemon juice. Here the guest is simply cheated. Overall, the restaurant looks like cheap system catering at overpriced prices. Profit maximization seems to be the top priority here. Staff and kitchen seemed overwhelmed. The 2nd star is for the view, which is fantastic - but unfortunately there is not more.

View and ambience is very fine. Food is okay, I wouldn't necessarily recommend desserts. But the view is great! Staff very nice, but also very stressed. I can only recommend it, especially in the evening!

Waiters very friendly, we felt well looked after! The quality of the ribs has nothing to do with before! Price the spare ribs a cheek, get a fillet steak in another restaurant for this money! Maybe someday I'll see if something has changed. (WAS a regular for 20 years!)

Food is very tasty, except for the spare ribs (they were far better back then) Waiters tried to be respectful, but probably thought that we are still teenagers: D, I give them a grade of 4, because we waited a long time (except for drinks) before we were allowed to order food, about 30 minutes after we finished eating have not been cleared and on top of that we waited 30 minutes for the bill. Apart from that, you will also be harassed by would-be proletarian machos (presumably regulars); made fun of us etc. because they wanted to inspire two women at the next table. The beach cafe has always been (and still is after renovation / modernization) a really fine location with seating right on the water of the old Danube. The ambience (view, atmosphere, background noise, simply all impressions mixed as a whole) can only be described as wonderfully relaxed. The spare ribs were and are worth a visit for years. But the other dishes on offer don't give reason for criticism either. Quality, quantity, garnish etc. are consistent, whatever you can taste. The beer served on the last visit should also be emphasized. Such a flower or head of foam is rarely seen or served. The staff is friendly and professional, but you should plan a little longer. This is due to the rush of guests who are in Strandcafe a.d. want to indulge the old Danube to enjoy the taste Reservations are strongly recommended, especially if you want to sit by the water, which is recommended to everyone!

OK... For Vienna, my Wiener Schnitzel was quite average, but don’t get me wrong - it was served with a nice, creamy potato salad and still reasonably enjoyable. In a city with so much competition not everyone can be #1. I’d be willing to return for a 2nd opinion to sample the ribs and steaks - both look quite impressive. Having said that, it’s a nice spot with a pleasant clean decor and a large deck overlooking the water set against Vienna’s city skyline.

Waiter gossiped instead of serving and then said succinctly he had missed us. Card payment only from 10 euros with the words: "You HAVE to order something for 10 euros, so either you order something or ..." For that almost a year was already cheeky and prepotent. Fortunately, there are alternatives that live the word hospitality and Viennese inn culture and do not rip off the assembly line. Nice place but unfortunately nothing where you feel comfortable.

Location top, food flop We sat on the terrace in the evening when the weather was great and everything was great until the food came. 1x Rippal, 2x meat patties and 1x T-bone steak were ordered. The patties were both a mixture of raw and well done, the ribs (which they are known for) were tasteless and tender like the sole of a shoe and the steak was sent back because instead of medium it was completely raw. The waiter then brought the menu so that I could order something else instead of the steak but never came back for ages. I didn't order anything anymore because everyone else was already done, I hadn't even ordered and didn't want to eat alone. The ladies at the next table also sent their food back. It's a shame because the location is great and I would have really liked to come back.

I've known the beach cafe for a long time and I'm a big fan. Try to reserve a place on the raft right by the water, then you'll understand why! Eating and drinking is very good. The indoor guest rooms are also very modern and generously equipped. Toilet facilities are very modern and always clean. There are also currently - several contactless disinfectant dispensers. Every visit is worth spending a nice summer evening in the beach cafe Strand

We are still waiting for the food, if it tastes good it is 3 stars, beef tartare is minced and not chopped, but the current point of view is 2 stars, food was okay, now not perfect but ok, the amount was sufficient so 3 stars. A little tip: the potato pancake was way too festive and fine, maybe stop by the Christmas market and see how a real one works😁 The waiters were very nice! Stressed service staff, although some tables were free. Spare ribs were warmed up and therefore a bit tough, the potatoes underneath were cold. Instead of an apology, just comment: that can happen. But get 2 coffees for free. Therefore still 1 star. The high price of the spare ribs is usually justified as they are actually excellent. But of course only if they are fresh.

Tasty burger and delicious spare ribs!

A Waiter brought a wrong cocktail and thought the rest of the orders on our table. We expected at least a table cleaning and our original order but did not get any. We asked a manager for a better treatment and a new table , but got a great table close to the waiters’ station even when there were other options possible ( saw how others got the table we wanted, they did not book it). Do not recommend because of the service and misbehaviour of the staff. Mangers did not care at all. Is it how you are keeping your clients?

The most insolent, threatening speech by a waiter I've ever come across. I am horrified and shocked and will very actively advise all (!) My friends against ever entering this establishment. The following scene took place today around 6:00 p.m. I ask for a table at the entrance of the restaurant, just got off my bike. This is also assigned and shown to me by a friendly lady. I inform them that I will quickly lock my bike in order to then sit down, do so and head for the table. There is a note "reserved" there. While I'm still wondering, a waiter rushes up to me and the following dialogue takes place: He: "This table is reserved please." Me: "Your colleague ..." He interrupts me, now in a sharper tone: "This table is reserved please!" Me: "Your colleague ..." He interrupts me again, now obviously very angry and unfriendly: "This table is reserved please!" A third time I just try to explain the situation or to find a solution and then I start again: "Your colleague ..." And again I am interrupted, now in an openly aggressive tone: "This table is reserved please!" For a moment I consider going to the lady at the entrance to clarify the situation, but then I decide that I don't have to accept that they should give me three times (! ) interrupts the word and leave the restaurant. Something like this has really never happened to me - your employee is a cheek! Shame yourself!

After a large part of the food ordered had been brought, we were only then told that a dish was unfortunately not available. Unfortunately, we then had to reorder 50! Wait minutes without paying a little attention (not even when asked). Individual people could then enjoy the food around an hour later than the rest. Not appropriate for the price level, although you can sit very close and well to the old Danube through the footbridge. Unfortunately we won't be back anyway

Fine Viennese cuisine. Nice view from the Steg. Slow service, poor choice of desserts. Overcrowded every evening.

The place is a bit expensive as the food is not really impressive. However, the service and the beauty of the place make up for that. The terrace on the river is charming.

This place seems to be very popular on hot summer days, that’s exactly when you should reconsider visiting this restaurant. The outside area will be completely full and you’ll have to wait about 15-20 minutes to be seated. Then you’ll have to wait another 20-30 minutes for the waiter to take your oder and bring your drinks. It will take about and hour from getting to the restaurant to receiving your food. The waiters will also be rather unfriendly, which is kind of understandable under the circumstance. The food is pretty good though, so i’d recommend you to visit this place either on cooler days or on weekdays pre rush hour.

Full disaster!!! The temperature in the restaurant is more than 35 degrees! No ventilation, no air! Warm beer! Spoiling reputation for Budweiser! Rotten fish! 2 stars for the view.

Great restaurant especially if you are meat lower. You have a lot of options, also vegy and staff is very quick. Prices are somewhere in the mid range but you get really a lot for this money. Also do not forget : place is on great pleace!
